ADMISSION POLICY
Bluffer’s Park Montessori School welcomes all prospective students and their families. BPMS is non-discriminatory in its programs and policies. Admission decisions are based on many factors, such as a comfortable fit within the Montessori environment, gender, age and balance of the existing multi-age classroom. BPMS gives priority to siblings of currently enrolled students.

MONTESSORI METHOD
Montessori is a philosophy of education. It has been tried and proven for over one hundred years. Dr. Maria Montessori developed this “new education” based on her scientific observations of children. She established that children possess an intrinsic desire to explore, discover, and learn about their environment, and that they learn best in a supportive, home-like setting.
In 1907, Maria Montessori opened her first school “Casa de Bambini” or Children’s House, and began developing the very special learning environment, materials and methods that have been enhanced over the years to educate and challenge children and prepare them so well for later life experiences.
